Has anyone seen this? I am wondering how it compares to the 2 previous Death Note movies and would like to hear some thoughts.

have not... will be going to watch it this weekend (it's like, you've watched the first two - so it's a no-no to missing this one though there's no raito). Will let you know next week then!!! and oh, apart from it being a trilogy, i'm watching it for L Cheesy

I watched the Death Note movies because I love L...however I found L: Change the World a big disappointment. The execution was so clumsy and forced. The nicest thing I can think to say about it is that it had really nice dvd packaging.

no kidding... I love the 3rd sequel best among all three. Tho it was unrelated to death note anyhow, it was an awesome movie. It was full of suspense, action and even comedy... and viewers get to know another side of L that we wouldn't otherwise see.

Perhaps you placed high expectation towards the show and was utterly bitter abt it afterwards.

I enjoyed it so much that apart from catching it in the cinema, I bought the ori DVD and watched it several times. I find the story touching and it was heart breaking to see L walking away, with some remaining time before his death.

I wouldn't say that I was "bitter" about it, but you're right that I had set high expectations for it coming after the 2 Death Note movies. I knew that it would have minimal or no references to the previous ones since it's supposed to show L's last days, I think the idea was there, but like I said the execution just seemed off. Anyhow, that's just my two cents people have different preferences  Wink

yep, ppl hav different preferences... so far of all the friends who have watched it, everyone was excited bout it. Rather, used to be excited abt it.

When you said "execution forced and clumsy" what could u mean by it? What was 'forced' and 'clumsy' abt it? Enlighten me coz I like to learn more bout things that I dont...

cyan>> haven't finish or haven't start? lol
