Some sort of painting contest. Details are sketchy at this juncture.

What an anticlimax.

Good points about the event:

1. The hall is air-conditioned.

That's about it

Considering you went there, elaborate... elaborate.

- Space was tiny. Like a hall that can fit two badminton courts and a stage.
- No segregation between dealers and cosplayers, so yeah noise pollution.
- Not much in the way of dealers anyway.
- No snacks/refreshments on sale unless you happen to love lukewarm sushi.
- Only cosplayers present were cosplayers of bad anime.
- Cosplay karaoke. Don't sing in a language you can never speak. :O
- Model painting contest was probably rigged.

anyway, wat bout the contest your friend judged? were the results rigged too?

They were judging the model painting contests. Only later did they find out that most of the entries were by the contest organiser himself or his friends.
