The year is coming to an end and I think it's time to make some lists of some of the best and worst. Before posting, please read first:

This list is refering to anime that was shown/released in Japan in 2007. You may include anime that was shown in 2006 as long as the DVD was 1st released in Malaysia in 2007. And remember please, show courtesy to your fellow forum users by refraining from flaming just because their taste is different from you.

My Top 10 favorite anime of 2007
1. Red Garden
2. Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight!
3. Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo
4. Sumomomo Momomo
5. Doujin Work
6. Healthy All-Nude Swim Club Umisho
7. Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo!
8. Kanon
9. Murder Princess
10. Sola

My 5 least favorite anime of 2007 (some of these are not necessarily awful since I've been careful to avoid what I generally don't like but these are the ones that least satisfied me)
1.Tokimeki Memorial : Only Love
2. Mononoke
3. Hidamari Sketch
4. The Wallflower
5. Seirei no Moribito

What about you folks?

My top 10? Hmm. I can't really remember... plus that I haven't watched much... only these two as I recall.

1. Umisho (because it got me to do fanarts.)
2. Sola. Damn pretty sad ending for Yorito's part (even though he's actually not the real dude) but I'm a sadistic who cries out fits of evil laughter at every sad scene...) but, hey one of the OVAs are real funny, check it out. I had it.
3. Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! You got me on that already as in why.

Hates... geh. Lost track, and I watch every show all the same without any intent on liking it bad or good.

Ditto. The pwnage part, not the licking testes part Shocked

Does Karas count as a 2007 anime?  How about GITS: Solid State Society. Those are full of win too...

Perhaps you didn't read before posting? " And remember please, show courtesy to your fellow forum users by refraining from flaming just because their taste is different from you.  "

Quit it. This abrasive style of posting and showing disrespect to other forum users that you're fond of using isn't funny at all.

FWIW, I actually watched Moribito and am apt to agree with him on his opinion. I think his statement is more to mock those who prefer shallow, banal, inane and low quality anime series over something with more substance.

From how I see it, there is that Malay saying "Siapa makan cili, dialah rasa pedas" which  probably means if you're not guilty, you wouldn't be offended by what he said...

PS: A flame war would actually increase traffic to this site anyway...

You're missing the point. Your liking of the show is YOUR personal opinion - it does not give anyone the right to adopt a snobbish high-and-mighty "holier than thou" attitude that the anime they like makes them superior over others and others are rubbish just because they watch anime to be entertained and not for "artistic value". That would be like someone who liked classical music acting condescendingly and deriding others who like pop music as trash. How would you feel if some uppity snob starts bragging about how he only watches Academy Award movies and derides anime fans as garbage?

piano....etc I think this topic lack some logic cause this topic is based on emotion did U like did U not so  No Logic
plus is there a need to know others people taste  Huh
I think better to evaluate the animes based on
1- Graphics
2- Story
3- music
4- end

And the different between those who watch anime based on art, creativity,(don't worry they have fun too)...etc and those who watch for fun like the different between pro football player and Amateur football player.

PS:don't take my words too Seriously cause I may watch 1anime per season so not that otako.
About Moribito it was magnificent from story to graphics.

That is why this thread is asking for your favorite and least favorite anime from 2007. It doesn't claim to ask for what you consider to be anime of the highest quality. And therefore, everyone will have different tastes from each other and as reasonable forum members, we should at least have some respect for the fact that someone else might like something different from us. For example, I'm not much into yaoi but if a yaoi fangirl wants to consider her favorite top 10 of 2007 to be all yaoi titles, I'll respect her for her opinion even if I don't agree with her taste.
There simply is no room for certain members to act all snooty because they think other people's taste is underneath them and such behaviour is simply unacceptable.

Erm... sorry to disappoint piano. I find stormy's post to be somewhat acceptable. I don't know how to describe it, but it feels kinda... "off the street" style language. He's trying to joke here. Undecided

Even then, like Cloud said, I guess not everyone would catch it and end up finding it vulgar.

If he's trying to joke, it certainly is NOT funny and I'm not laughing and I certainly do not appreciate people hijacking my thread to make insulting comments like this. Brushing off something like this as being "just a joke" is certainly no different than those two guys in Parliament insulting women and claiming that "it was just a joke".I certainly hope he will take it as a lesson not to be so insensitive in the future when posting.

In the meantime, I'm hoping to see more top 10 lists from 2007 from the rest of you and let's please be cordial to each other.
