There hasn't been much enthusiasm in Malaysia isn't it? Does anyone follow Heroes? They're already showing season 2 in America and Australia ;___; I wonder if Astro is showing...? I dun hav Astro so no idea. After watching season 1, I really go berserk over the series. Its much better than Lost, 24, Smallville or any other english series there is (im my humble opinion lol). But I still like both Grey's Anatomy and House. It was a pity to miss most of the Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives episodes tho ^^;

In case you have no idea what Heroes is about, it's regarding a group of people who had started to realize/ found the superhuman powers in them. The awakening of their powers symbolizes changes in the new generation. Hiro Nakamura, an employee in a Japanese firm realized that he could manipulate time and teleport himself to anytime/ anywhere around the world. He accidentally teleported himself to New York 1 week later (from his current time) and saw a huge explosion which will destroy the city and kill thousands and millions of people. Hiro then understood that it is his destiny to save the world and thus travelled with his friend, Ando to America. Of course, at the same time all these characters with super powers will have to run away from Sylar, a killer who could absorb their powers after killing them. Sylar is getting stronger with each power he gained (and each person he killed). However his ultimate desire would be Claire Bennet, the cheerleader's power of regeneration.

On the other hand we have Peter Petrelli, the younger brother of Nathan Petrelli who's a politician running for congress. Peter had been having constant dreams that he can fly and Nathan seems to appear in his dreams sometimes. Then we have Isaac, the painter who can 'paint the future' whenever he's 'high' with drugs. Then there's Niki who felt she's on the verge of breaking down as she constantly sees her twin sister, Jessica in the mirror. She would sometimes lost consciousness for several hours, only to wake up in a totally different state from what she could remember. Not to forget is the cheerleader who could regenerate herself no matter how she tried to kill herself (stabbing, running into fire, jumping down from high places). Parkman, a police officer one day found that he could read other people's mind.

Anyway, Hiro and Peter's mission is to save the world. And in order to do that, they'll need to save the cheerleader first Cheesy ... "Save the cheerleader, save the world"

Oh ya, missed one of the important character--Dr. Chandra Suresh, a researcher who's looking into his father's previous research on these human with superpowers. Though pretty much reluctant to believe at first, he finally managed to break his father's encrypted code and started tracking these people with supernatural abilities.

There's too many of them to be described in here ^^; watch the series, its really good. Not sure bout season 2 though, many said that it went downhill compared to season 1.

Season 2 is coming up but not in another few months in Malaysia.  Sad
I've watched the first half of the 1st season and then I deleted the another half coz I need some HD spaces. LOL

Heroes is quite okay. Its progress is a bit too slow for my liking.  Some of the acting and dialogues were slightly terrible *points Nikky's family* But Hiro is the saving grace throughout the series. I'm still following just because of him.

LOLs I think the overall plot is pretty okay. I like every aspect of the series, except that at certain times you'd get worked up over how silly they can be.

eek-1>> hm? I thought that Niki's family is pretty okay tho... well, not really that okay but... bad acting? you serious? I believe the whole cast did a good job especially Ali Larter who plays Niki/ Jessica. But yes, Hiro is definitely one character that enlightens us on the whole series.

The only thing that made me excited now is Season 2 of Heroes. My friends in Perth told me it was a big let down and it totally sucks. Everything really went down the drain in season 2. but nope, I'll reserve my comments until I watched it.

Not just the family but over half the other cast. I'm not certain whether their actings were bad or the problem lies in the screenwrites.  I couldn't quite accept the feelings they were having and their decisions in regards of the situations they were in. But then maybe I didn't put enough attention to this show.

I already watched season 2 ep8.  I'll just say Hiro's and Peter's adventures are so far interesting.  But everyone else are just so-so.

really? i read some reviews saying that Peter had become a useless -toot- up drunkard =__= and mixing with the wrong bunch. then again, it was some expected.

I could download them on9 but i guess i wan to reserve them and watch the whole season 2 altogether when the DVD's out!!!!!!!

It actually got better.  The final 2 eps were great and I thought those were the best of the season.  Not much action but a lot of the heroes got together and some interesting stuff happened.  In the final scene it seemed like Gabriel became a drug addict lol =b.

Season 2 ended with 11 eps.

A friend told me there has been Hollywood writer strike, that caused a lot of TV series incl. Heroes ended up prematurely or sooner than it should.

Oh wow, writer's strike! that's a first for me. now the directors and their crew will have to take script-writing course!!! LOL

I guess these circumstances are unavoidable, it had indeed been unfair sometimes with the top execs and companies raking in all the profits. and they so often forget that writers are the heart of the whole story--making the impossible possible.
