You may be able to get those for slightly over RM200.  An external case would cost between RM15 to 50. 80GB 3.5" is about RM160.  160GB 3.5" almost RM200.  2.5" notebook ones are more expensive.

Western Digital is known to be reliable and fast.  Seagate is known for its quietness and is also reliable.

If you want my preference, I'd go for an external notebook harddrive.  It's a bit more expensive than the bigger external, but it's easier to carry and doesn't need external power source when plugged to a USB2 port.  Get a 80GB WD SATA/PATA 2.5" for RM180, and beg RM10 for an enclosure with a leather pocket.

I think im in real trouble, i just bought a 120 GB drive recently and now its only left with abt 5 GB!!! Dun tell me I hav to buy another one!? i hav never heard of ppl owning more then 1 ext hard drive. of course, burn them out right? i dun hav a DVD burner so its gonna cost me to buy more CDRs for storage ;___; what i hate most is losing several pieces (aka several epi) after friends borrowed them or when i misplace some of them geeeeeeh

lol same here. (But I have only a 40GB hard drive to work with. NO externals)
Graduated to burning DVDs because running out of physical space to store cds. Grin

And yes, kinda frustrating when there 1 or 2 discs rosak/missing when you wanna watch. T_T

that's why ;___; i know i hav loads of rubbish ... ah hey, they are not rubbish but very important collections of dramas, anime, PVs, manga etc etc. they just keep piling up and i have no idea what to do. the idea of buying another ext hard drive is attractive but absurd at the same time.

DD>> u have no idea how much i suffered with my laptop which only allows me less than 10 GB to work around (since its free, i cant really complain). so that's why i got myself an ext hard drive.

but now i finally realize that unless i have 1 TB of storage, it will never be enough XD

After you finally get a 1TB drive, you'll find that you'd need a few more.  Grin

1T selling at RM1k and is a weight of 3 hdd, want?  Tongue

1 dvdr ABOUT RM 100 1 Piece of dvdr (Mitsubishi= best in market) RM0.95. 100 piece = RM95 = 4.45GB X100 = 445GB.

1 Ext hdd RM245 120GB. Unless you are portable type, else a dvd burner is better investment.
