Origo>> you're in Aussie too right?
It started with an exciting journey to the airport. met up with 2 of my friends there and we check-in together, then catch up with another 2 friends upon passing the customs and before boarding the plane. MAS was... okay. the 5 hours flight nearly drove me crazy... it was boring, tiring and the lunch menu was horrible. There's only choice between nasi lemak and omellette @@ ... the NL was dry and tasteless. anyway upon reaching the airport, we queued for the customs (tho it was long queue, it moved rather fast). after that 3 of us went to the green lane (with nothing to declare) and the other 2 frens went to the red lane (with food/ medi items to declare). the 3 of us walked around the airport, wondering where to wait for the bus 2 hostel. after an more than 45 mins, one of them came out. the other fren was released only after more than 1 hour and we ngam ngam missed the bus (coz we waited for him). the consequences is that, we were stranded at the airport for 3 hours. from 5pm-8pm we wait, wait, wait and wait. AND WAIT. we did call and ask around... and was told that the next bus would be around 7.30pm but it only came at 8pm (no matter, we were glad it even arrived). Taxi would cost us $44-45 but the bus is free =___= so of course we'd rather wait.
Upon arrival, we checked-in to the student village (name of hostel). I was so so so so so so glad that i was given a single room (hard to share with others... i prefer to have more privacy and freedom) and my room is kinda windy (not very, but at least it's not hot). It's upstairs and quite spacey. i love the quilt i bought from student village (SV)... it's so thick and comfortable tht i'd want to do nothing but curled up in it the whole day (the weather's perfect... it's summer but more like the temperature of Genting ^________^). It does get cold at night tho (which is why the quilt is so comfortable). me and my friends, we were all separated ;___; i am in flat 67, while some of them in 73, 29, 30, 62, 42 etc etc. each flat has many rooms, mine has 5 rooms while another fren of mine's got up to 8 rooms. but all only has 2 bathrooms... i m staying with 3 housemates--Cathy, Ben and David. I haven't got a chance to have a decent talk with Cathys so i hav no idea where she came from... but Ben's from Sydney and David's from America. They are nice people and polite too, though they have thick slang and drinks beer all the time. but they are already better off than a friend's flatmates. that group of people partied everyday (until the whole place is a total mess) till about 1am. she couldn't even sleep due to the noise and had to move in to my room yesterday ^^;; hopefully she's fine today
I went to the university... it's very big, and really interesting. lots of stuffs going on and i love the Bush Court. It's like a court in the middle of the university with lots of trees and beautiful, clean grass. we went there and laid down on the grass... it was so comfy and extremely clean, with no rubbish etc that we'd find in M'sia's fields @@ we laid there for a while, sunbathing ^___^
grocery was extremely exhausting. we went to Fremantle, more like a city where we can get a lot of stuffs there and there's wet market too. did some groceries (very heavy, so we got the guys to carry them hahahaha). the following day was again, groceries, but in Kardinya (where you can find K-Mart and Coles hypermarket... like Tesco and Giant). Then today, like yesterday and the day before, it was also groceries in Coles (we bought fan--since next week the temp will shoot up to 41-42 degrees) and many other stuffs. We got them at the Coles in Garden City (a supermarket) it was so heavy that after taking the 1st bus and got down at Kardinya, we got ourselves trollies and pushed the stuffs all the way back to SV... the walk took us 15-20 minutes.
Anyhow, i'm enjoying so far hahaha ... life is quiet and peaceful. i'm thankful that my housemates are not so much on partying (i just don't like it when they don't lock/ close the main door =___= whenever they go out or do something in the flat).Just now the main door was wide open and there wasn't anyone in the living room. the flat opposite us was in the same condition, wide open with no one in the living room. my friend was commentiong that both flats can be joined as one =_=
Both SV and the Uni is huge. SV has more then 120 flats (each flat has a variety number of rooms/ setting... but standard amenities and facilities are provided). I got lost everyday. whether it's walking to my friend's flat or walking to the office, or even walking to the uni or from anywhere back to my flat, i got lost. it's so huge, and the flat ALL HAS THE SAME OUTLOOK, PLUS THE SAME OUTLOOK ON THE COURTYARD. The only thing to guide is the number of the flat =__= each building consists of 4 flats. Its just that it gets lonely without family ... and my manga and anime. can't DL coz got quota. Now then, i'm waiting for my last flatmate to move in. Hope it's a nice person... and well, hopefully it's an Asian. the whole flat is full of foreigners and even tho my friends do crash my place once in a while, it would be nice to have some nice Asians in the same place.

hiya,
i arrived at adelaide last week...didn't had the chance to use the computers until recently after we get our student IDs ^^;;
the place is really clean and the only thing i think i've gotta get used to is the damn weather here...its HOT when the sun is up but there's always air-con cold wind blowing all the time...so its kinda strange at first...temperature drops drasctically at night and it can be freezing while the next day, the temperature shoots up again =_= like oven hot...
traffic rules are pretty different here as well...the cars stop for the pedestrians regardless of wether there's a traffic light or not...so u can just walk as u want (of course if there's a traffic light u must use la, else you can be caught) but don try that on friday nights cause it'll be pub night when there are whole lot of drunkards around...looks like these ppl drink as their hobby...
last tues night when i peeped in one of the lecture theaters, i saw they were screening shakugan and i just crept in and sat at the back...there are loads of ppl there...!!! so cool kkkkkkkkk...just like i found a treasure...and it hasnt been one week yet!! i find myself lucky ^__^~

Ah the joys of overseas education. I miss those days. My first few months in the US were quite shaky though. Not to mention ultra-freezing cold.

ah DD is jealous *poke poke poke* mine was a last minute decision... no matter how we see it, able to go abroad is an advantage. origo>> yeah, such drastic drop of temperature sure is scary... now without any fan, my room feels like it's 20 degrees celcius. oh yea, gonna show u guys some pix! The Student Village... that's the flat opposite mine ^___^ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011760.jpgThis is the view from my room window!!! feels so bushy http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011755.jpgbeautiful clouds... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011761.jpgThat's the Bush Court in middle of Murdoch. Really like sitting under those shady trees or just lying around http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/BushCourt1.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/BushCourt2.jpgand we took a bus to Fremantle today, then got down at Cottesloe. we walked ll the way to the beach. The air was like, freezing cold and the wind that blows is so cold that you could barely walk around without a jacket (well the guys finally regretted for not bringing their jacket hahaha). we didn't swim =__= bt my friend said they that during last winter, they actually swam. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/Beach2.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/beach3.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/beach4.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/beach_wave2.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/seagulls.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/seagulls2.jpgah on the way to the beach we passed by beautiful sceneries... ooops caught a pix of my friend in one of them http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011772.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011771.jpgit's been enjoyable so far ^___^ tomorrow is the Festival Day in uni, so i'll be there to check out what they have and perhaps join a club or two. gonna volunteer as students helper too. And in the afternoon my friend's gonna bring us all for the Perth City Tour!!! k, hav to enjoy this week otherwise when it starts to get busy i won't have time to enjoy >__<... oh yea, we found a chinese cafe caravan in the university, and they sell Chinese @ Malay food (kind of like the Chinese 'zhap fan' in coffee shop) bt it's SO expensive, $5.50 for small rice, 1 vege + 1 meat and yet, friends said that's the cheapest food we can get in campus. imagine the living expenses =___= ... and of guys, Perth is now having this "day light saving" program so we're 1 hour ahead of Malaysia. However by March, time will be back to normal--same time as Malaysia.

hahaha sorry, i changed hp number liao...
BO... i dun think it's a problem. unless i stayed longer as student helper @ volunteer for Murdoch. but i heard from my fren that the registration is due liao. anyhow we'll see la. should be able to make it to BO...
yeah, life's peaceful and quiet here. though bored sometimes but it can be fun too when there's activities. yesterday's BBQ organized by Student Village was cool and at night, everyone's like partying madly. as a matter of fact, it's more like clubbing at the recreation room... with the blaring music, cool DJ, daring students dancing hip hop etc
however apart from that, CNY here is lonely... i bet everyone's busy one CNY eve till throughout the whole week. CNY eve me and frenz did pot luck, then at night we played cards (guys played and drink). i drank a little as well (they actually bought a bottle of whisky) and it was good (as they mix with coke). then we played UNO till like, 2.30am...
and yesterday (CNY 1st day) we went to Perth City to watch CNY celebration... got people sing and dance, then got "choi san ye" give angpow hahahaha well only 20 cents ^^ ... and that's all ler... tonite hav to cook spaghetti as im eating alone and tomorrow afternoon my 1st lecture gonna start.
k then, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

on new year's eve, i volunteered at a temple, helping them with the festival...there were lion dance, dragon dance, children's choir and the best part was the end of it where there were fireworks right at the strike of twelve...but lion dances here especially at china town were pretty lame...not pro at all...even the msian ones are much better... first day of new years my friends and i had pot-luck and my parents called...make me homesick only cause all my relatives are back...

uwaaaaaaaaaa so tired! I just got back from Scarborough Beach, a trip organized by the Student Village ^________^ we left SV around 11.30am, reached there at 12.30pm (after some traffic jam, surprisingly) then left at 4++ ... the beach at Scarborough was the most beautiful one i'd ever seen. it's very very enchanting... but the sun was burning hot, very very very HOT and *scream* i got sunburn (even tho most of us put sun screen as tho we're doing mask/ facial @@) on my face and hand ;____; it was very painful... and no doubt, i got supeeeer tan!!! sadly, though the place is magnificient, i can't SWIM! me and 2 other frens can't swim (while both the guys and the girl in swimsuit--from Singapore--can swim). the waves were very very strong. even if you're on the shore, you're not save!!! I was hit countless times and couldn't stand up as it comes after anothr... but we did went deeper, with the help of the three who can so-called swim... unfortunately, the waves are too strong and even tho we all formed a circle, holding hands (more like gripping each other, scared) we got separated several times and went under water.... i was basically drowning and really really scared because i couldn't catch hold of anyone's hand and ran out of breath, so i drank one gulp of the sea water. thank god sophia (the singapore girl) caught me and pulled me up, otherwise i think im seriously dead @@. i only managed to catch one gulp of fresh air and then the second rush of strong wave pushed me away from her and i sink under water again. this time luckily Wilson (my friend) caught me and pulled me up stroight. After that, i was seriously very grateful to be out of the water... my other fren (basically all 3 of us who couldn't swim was drowning) rushed up to the shore (after she was saved) then started to vomit--only water came out tho. gosh it's really a scary experience... next time dun go play with strong current ;___; ... but yes, i'd go again if there's a chance. we're going to Harbor City to buy clothes and swim suit next monday ^^ best thing was, when i reached my flat, i saw david (my flatmate) cooking so i asked him why he didn't go to the beach (since it's free for all hostel residents), he said, "What? I thought it was tomorrow?" Hahahahahaha he's so bluuuuur! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011860.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011838.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011839.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011853.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011850.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/yuii84/P1011856.jpgsomeone tell me i've got rounder and getting more plump!!! origo>> wow cooool.... im going tiomorrow ^___^ to WIldlife Park... fren bring us there hehe xell>> hahaha like dat one la... once grow up ady, angpow money become less, dunno why... k, hve to go laundry with frens now... then maybe go over to another fren's flat (he's they have one whole unopened bottle of vodka hahahah)
