Any other fans of this series here other than me?
There are 4 series altogether:
Saber Marionette J
Saber Marionette J Again
Saber Marionette J-X
Saber Marionette R

No other anime has moved me to such emotional extremes. While watching this series, you will be finding yourself rolling on the floor with laughter (especially at Hanagata's antics) and another moment, you may find yourself crying uncontrollably.

SMJ,Again & J-X are my most favourite anime together with Azumanga Daioh. I almost have no complains about this anime. Good design, character development, storyline, music, storyline pacing etc. Yup, this anime have 0 flaw to me at all.

But what make me like this anime most are the endings on all 3 story arcs. Very nicely done, very dramatic, very sad & most importantly, the endings make you feel satisfied and not feel cheated of the ending. My tears flow on all 3 arcs endings.

No comment on SMJ-R. It's a different anime to me.

Kyoto Animation – If there’s anime deity, then KyoAni’s its prophet. Absolutely the darling of the anime world now, for good reasons like Fumoffu, The 2nd raid, AIR TV,The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and Kanon 2006. With KyoAni, it’s not anime, it’s art[/i].

Can anyone tell me about the SM J to X ending? My friend took it back to Singapore b4 i can finish it. Did the 3 of them turn into human and did Otaru accept them back?

Hmmm, i watched J to X a long time ago so i couldnt remember much. If my memories don't betray me, basically all the 3 marionette died together with Dr. Hess on a spaceship bound to a futile attempt to go back to earth, and later when the Terra 2 world is in peace once more, cloning of girl is made possible now, and Otaru is blessed with 3 child that looks and acted like those 3 marionettes. So, Otaru begins his new life being a father to those 3 childs.

Please correct me if i'm wrong. I watched SMJ to X from a Hong Kong DVD rip and the subtitles are rubbish (renaming all characters to chinese names, craptastic translations etc).  :x

Oh...then it's quite a sad ending to Otaru loh, isn't it?Then what about the SM R? I tried to order from my friend in KL but still nothing from him.

P.S : Did the 3 child have the memory of the 3 marionette? I remember that the Dr.Hess said that he has the technology to transfer their memory to the real human body. And did anything happen to that Hanagata?

It's possible, although i'm not 100% sure about that cos as i said earlier, i watched from Hongkie crap dvd rip so there's a lot of lost translation there. As for Hanagata, he's as pesky & gay as usual. Nothing much change for him anyway.

You folks might want to put up spoiler warnings. It's courtesy in anime forums to put them up when discussing the endings.

I did consider that when i replied to xyz_cityhunter for the first time. But i abandon the idea because:

1) It's an old series. Ppl can talk about old series ending for discussions etc. If it's ongoing series like Mai-Hime, GSD etc then it's another matter.

2) It's not a "hot" titles like Full Metal Alchemist or Gundam Seed for examples. If i post the ending for FMA or GS maybe some ppl will get angry because they're still watching it or plan to watch it soon, etc.

3) No spoiler tag function. It's kinda 'bleh' to put "[SPOILER ALERT]" below XYZ post because it's obvious my reply is about answering his question about the ending of SMJ to X. If the spoiler does matters a lot to "certain" small number of people they can skip reading the post totally.

End reasoning. Of course i'll be careful next time concerning spoilers when i see fit.

But just because a series is "old", it is not a reason not to put spoiler tags. Not everyone has seen every single anime. Some people may have only seen SMJ. SMJ-X's ending is a very big spoiler. On another forum, when a poster put it without any spoiler warnings, it resulted in a lot of people being angry. It's just common internet courtesy and there should be no debate about this.
