I'd like to hear you folks give reasons as to why you think these titles that you nominate are "the best romance" ever. Some of the titles mentioned are extremely one-sided - one of the members of the couples spend half the series acting like a jerk to the other. I would hardly say that such an anime qualifies as "best romance ever." Perhaps you are liking it for other reasons (action, comedy, etc.) and not romance?

You know I think the title of this thread should be changed to Favorite Romance NOT Best Romance. It's clear that the romance anime that you all mention is something you like. However, I'm failing to see any points presented that would clearly convince the others that they are the BEST romance.

In form of reality-like situation = Honey & Clover.
Well, the romance in this anime not really shown & obvious. Most even ends with unrequisited love. But the the romance/love relationships part of this anime really warms up your heart.
In form of the really obvious romance to the point of cheesy = Marmalade Boy.
My god, the whole 70+ episodes of this anime reeks of romance/love story. Even Fushigi Yuugi & Peach Girl can't get close.
