im also clueless bout this... i just suggest if we can make this site for private tracker torrent. sharing amongs local can get nice speed for torrent. maybe we can share some anime,anime ost, and other stuff between AM member.

urm.. does the licence thingy effect our country?? i thought it only licence in US... but i dunno bout the anime showing in our local tv.. anyway my friend have an account in jiwang torrent.. its not like they restricted their torrent to non licence anime and other non licence stuff.

Well I had a small conversation with Cloud a day or 2 before.
In a nutshell, the feature can be installed, but at a cost.
Maybe that's why other sites that offer downloads have a "donation" link/tag and plead users to donate to keep the site up. :?
And about the copyright thingie, for anime it's a little vague.
Then again, it's advised to follow some fansubbers and animesuki's example.
They remove material copyrighted by US companies upon announcement.
US firms are a bit more business minded. The japanese don't really mind actually, or should I say don't really know where to stand on the issue.

urmm... sure it cost.. and really im amaze with AM forums.. no ads.. no popups.. and no donation.. but still manage to survive. the fact that we lack of member make hard to implement that feature..

i think there is a band limit to host a tracker right???
lots of people have to join in order for the tracker to operate.
yess....we very much have to say our gratitude to Cloud coz he absord about RM400 monthly.
Such a passionate guy in order to keep us active.

Erm.. from what I know, you can buy bandwidth from the server.. If it's a free hosting site or the like, you'll have a bandwidth limit. For trackers to operate... I think you can do it alone. Not you anyway, a software instead. But with no one around, how are you gonna get stuff onto the tracker? And with no one to download to... As for Cloud... Remember to glomp him (or express your gratitude in any other way. ) when he shows up for gatherings. :lol: |
