Wow long time din visit this thread liao~ and I was surprised that I actually started it ^^;
Anyway, i think d ending of d anime was a bit........ i don't know. Not so much 2 my liking. But the books are pretty good. Thing is, you'll find the plot inching more towards drama after some time and that's so less fun. The thing that draws me to dis series was the humour, characters and plot. But when the drama unfolds, it seems that things are less interesting than it used to be... and some of the characters undergo changes.
I like them the way they used to be. Just a little disappointed -_____-||| sorry can't help it...
If you're curious, I can tell you some details on d latter part (season 2 perhaps) that might unfold in the anime (as per d book):
SPOILERS
1) both the twins had a fight and it's not any small brawl... they really fought. Kaoru knew that Hikaru likes Haruhi, and he too, likes her. Kaoru wants Hikaru to realize that they will not be together forever and that it's important for him to pursue Haruhi if the brother does not want to lose her
2) In a school trip to France (i think) Kyouya looks for Tamaki's (missing) mother and did finds her.
3) Tamaki's grandmother asked her assistant for a list of Tamaki's friends in school (which we can expect some trouble over here)
