Is there any anime on Malaysian TV currently that you follow?
Right now, I'm following Mugen Wakusei Survive (Uninhabited Planet Survival) which airs every Wednesday on RTM. One of the better local dubs. Does anyone know if it airs more than once a week? When I watch it, it always seems like I'm an episode behind.
The other one I'm following is Legend of Condor Heroes on 8TV. Unfortunately, the Cantonese dub leaves a lot to be desired and I'm very annoyed that they replaced the OP and ED with a horrible Lau Tak Wah song.

I don't know why, but when I saw an ad in today's Star paper showing Goku  (or some other Dragon Ball character) behind a dwi-bahasa dictionary, I couldn't stop laughing.
Check page24 of the StarTwo segment.

Under it is the tagline "Your favourite cartoons, now dubbed in Bahasa Melayu. Catch them everyday commencing 22nd April" with a Channel 9 logo fixed behind it.

Hmm... I wonder...

Here's the scan. Pardon the low quality. Tongue

On the book it says
"Kamus Dwibahasa
Bahasa Jepun - Bahasa Melayu"

Wow... they're airing Pichi Pichi Pitch (Mermaid Melody) in TV3 on Sundays. Whoa... @_@

And as for what animes are being aired right now... I can't list them all but as unbelievable as it sounds, there are a lot. @__@

ah well, just like what we can expect from Channel 9... their progs are mostly in BM, even the morning children educational programme that was originally in ENGLISH by Americans, had been dubbed in BM @@ gawd, it was not only hilarious but also one of the worst i'd ever seen...

i dunno bout initial D on local tv... chinese dub i assume?

edited~~~

hey... i just saw initial d commercial on tv3.. they will be showing it on sunday 7pm.. for malay dub anime fans (if there any) DON'T MISS IT........

i wonder if its ok to show initial d in tv3 kids segment.. thats what happen when they mistaken anime for a cartoon.. no wonder hentai also they called anime..

i watched singapore channel and they really do their homework on airing anime to their target audience. they showing english dub anime in the morning for kids to watch... while at midnight... they showing anime that suitable only for adult (not hentai) with sub (japanese dub).
