Ah.. I remember back in year 2000 at high school where... girls, teachers and even some the boys were crying, jumping and hugging... well... never mind them... for me... the SPM result did change me to who I am today... after I got my result... I went to college, studying IT... and now working at stationary company... So, am I satisfied? Well... I should write that I would like to do better than this... I'm thinking of continuing my study at Open University or somewhere else... heh

Congratulation to excellent student today... but my advise... prepare yourself well in college or university... it's a totally different thing ever you imagined... it's true because I been there...  Cool

Back then '70 the questions were really hard. Today the questions are increadible easy. It's not proud at all to score all easy questions, and the paper we really need today is a degree. But anyway I really felt studying for 11 years at school is massively waste of time. Not to mention we need to spend another few years at college or U. By the time you finish the study you're probably 21-23. Our young 'skin' just wasted like that.

Even before the results came out, I knew I had to seek private education after SPM. Though I briefly considered entering Form 6, it was impossible for a second-class citizen like a non-bumi to get a place in the local universities.

Instead I had to settle for 2.5 years in the US. Shocked  After that I changed, not necessarily for the better but I changed.

Me? I'm still pretty much the average joe after getting my results. :?

And from what I've been through, as long as it gets you into the course you want, the result counts for nothing. After getting into college/university it's pretty much a useless piece of paper.

Unless, of course, you wanna go for scholarships. That's a different story.

i have 2 agree with all of you...especially fellowhoodlum and DayDreamez! the important thing is a pice of paper called the Degree!

spm, stpm resulst just means nothing and with the malaysian education system, the resulst can only be used as a toilet paper! (soree fer my frustration)

Chill... listen to our advice. As I said earlier on, SPM is not everything. Just by not doing too bad should be enough.

At least I passed my exams (with exception 1 subject that I failed Tongue)

It is a good thing the courses that I wanted does not include the subject that I failed.

This is what I expected with the whole year watching animes nearing the SPM's. Wink

I think DayDreamerz meant you shouldn't overdo yourself. But that doesn't mean it's anything less important. What's the point of 5 years schooling if you flunk SPM? With good grades you have more options to go further.

As for those nightclasses you just have to get used to them. Coz you'll be doing that a lot later. Plus group study is always more fun than alone.

Heh, I messed up my SPM, and only got 2 credits(1A, 1B, the rest are shits!) due to my lazyness, or maybe stupidity.

When applying for college, I was given a provisional offer for my course, that is they would've kicked me out if I didn't get decent results in my first semester. And so, I wasted one year taking certificate before I can go on taking diploma.(5 credits are needed for Diploma, 3 for cert Tongue) Anyway, currently I have no more than one month to be graduated from my diploma, and when trying to apply for UTAR, they asked for my SPM cert and it is rather embarassing. Tongue

So what I am trying to say is, my SPM cert is meaningless, and useless, mine! that's it. Tongue
