What is it that Malaysian drivers often do that you wish they wouldn't do? Post your thoughts.

Cutting Q's during waiting for the traffic light to go green.
I'm always late to work because of that.

Honking like there's no tomorrow during traffic jams.

There's a lot but I'm not a driver so I don't really experience a lot...

Car crossing and stop on the yellow line; that causes jam at traffic junction.

Not using signals to switch lanes or to make turns...

Malaysia is the number one country with death by traffic accident since the 1990s...
all time champion..

Yup, I also hate some drivers that like to cut in with no signal and also drive slow in the right lane…… Sad  Sad

Got sandwiched to the guard rails on an overhead pass by a kancil when I was driving a motor in the emergency lane a week or 2 ago. No signals whatsoever, and what the heck was the driver doing turning into the emergency lane?

Lucky for the rails and slow speeds (Rush hour traffic). If not, I might have gone flying off the bridge to the even more traffic laden highway underpass... (and likely to fly upwards soon after that. Tongue)

Yeah I sound happy. Why not? I'm still here writing this post, am I not?
*pinches self* Ouch!
Yup, still alive and breathing.

darklord>> you're right...

I had driving lessons today and almost met with an accident. I saw the traffic light turn yellow so i pushed the brake. Then the car behind mine the bumper, THANK GOODNESS it did not ram into the kancil.

I dunno who's fault it was cos maybe i braked too fast or the person didn't see the yellow light X-(. My instructor blamed him though. I think she's right; he should've been more careful when driving behind a driver who's still learning... anything can happen.

the L symbol needs to be bigger and flashier too.

One thing bothers me immensely - why do Malaysian drivers think it is okay to double park anywhere and block the traffic, causing a traffic jam just because they don't want to walk a little further or pay for parking?

"Save money"?

I hate it when they simply ignore other's safety. We seriously have the wore drivers in the world.

And we have the freakiest car accidents on earth.

for me it is so easy for me to specify who are the frequent people
who would not use signals during changing lanes and cutting q's
and which type of car like to do that. But i wont tell it coz i know it
could bring other hot issues.
maybe i should take a video instead during my drive on the way to work
or back.
i've been to indonesia and the traffic there is even worse than ours but
they seem to be very good manuevering their cars from being hit.
Malaysian drivers are impatient. They like to drive fast and if cutting
q's is what they have to do, then they will do it.
futhermore the issue of "looking and not help" is another reason for making the road jam. I always horn to these kind of people. They making the traffic worse.
Would you guys agree with me that MOST of the people who own big and
high maintenance cars are the one stingy enough to pay for the tol and also for the parking fees?Huh
Other than that when line up for hours at a long q and see so many
passersby cutting your q infront , wouldn't you feel agitated and you
want to do the same thing???
We can wait..but how long can we wait??
I am especially stress when early in the morning some idiot drivers
do some idiot things which turn me into a bad driver.
I have to say women are the worst driver.

That's why before people start learning how to drive they must attend a 10 hour long lecture on "Pemandu Berhemat".

As if that matters.
I've seen people sleeping, playing with their GBAs, reading newspapers/magazines during the course of the lecture. So tell me, does that matter?

Even if it did, all goes out the window when they get their licenses.

OH! Just because they're not at school they have to do that! Rude much?

But where i went to had quite a small lecture room... and it made us have to pay attention...

But they might forget after many years.... still so useless.
