I was wondering about the codecs...

Can anyone tell me why it's better than DivX?
And what codecs do I need to download?

Higher compression rate. Nicer picture for a smaller file.

But:

Uses more CPU cycles. Only the latest graphics cards fully support it.

I had the same questions before so I went to:

http://www.animesuki.com/doc.php/help/playback.html

And it gave me the solution I needed.

Right now I’m using K-Lite codec pack version 2.65f, it’s a collection of codec that can play up to 99% of all movie (the developer claim not me :x ) and the best part it’s free. Download the latest 2.70v at : http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

Yup,use the K-Lite codec but some anime forum/torrents recommend CCCP(Combine Community Codec pack) http://www.cccp-project.net/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page  ,don't ask me why some recommend it but as long it can play anime,I don't mind. Both codec can play the x264/H.264 video codecs.
