Hi..I personally dont know much about programming...

whats the difference between visual C++ and C++?

C++ is a programming language.
Visual C++ is a development environment (IDE) for C++.
Meaning, to create a C++ program you use Visual C++.

java applet is a subset of java.

Yep. learnt these in uni. but after that havent touch c n java for sometime so i dont remember a lot now.

well..erm..i can say tat visual c++ is use to program GUI(graphic user interface)  juz lyk Visual Basic  :roll: correct if im wrong >_< huhu shudve learned visual c++ but then changed to dreamweaver =__=
