GACC GENERAL COSPLAY RULES
• This competition is open to ALL
• Participants below the age of 12 must have their parents’ permission to enroll
• Materials such as props, cosmetics, tools, costumes are to be prepared by the cosplayers themselves and they are responsible towards their own properties. The GACC Committee holds no responsibility towards any damage or loses during the event
• Participants are required to dress decently. Revealing clothes and/or nudity is strictly prohibited inside the campus.
• Under NO circumstances is anyone allowed to enter the changing room or toilet of the opposite gender
• No explosive/ radioactive/ reactive/ corrosive/ flammable/ volatile/ toxic substances are allowed.
• For safety and cleanliness reasons, things like confetti, fireworks, flash paper or other forms of pyrotechnics, water, and other small messy objects are strictly forbidden on the stage area. On stage, (non firing) toy weapons will be allowed without any doubt but be aware that any real weapons will result in an immediate eviction. Also, no food and/or animals on the stage
• What goes on the stage with you, comes off the stage with you
• The GACC Committee reserves the right to ban the usage of any replicas/props that may seem potentially dangerous and/or harmful.
• Performances that might endanger the cosplayers themselves or members of the public are not allowed.
• The GACC Committee have the right to withdraw the participation rights of any cosplayer found breaking the rules and regulations of the competition.(This includes being late)
• Prizes will be forfeited if the winner (or a representative) does not present him/herself at the prize giving ceremony.
• The judges’ decision is final, no appeals would be entertained.
• GACC may tape or photograph contestant entries at its discretion. Entry into this contest constitutes an agreement by the contestants to allow GACC to use their likeness/image, etc in any current/future advertisement, promotion, or product.
INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY• Kindly fill up the registration form and include the picture of the character and send it to
gacc06@gmail.com before 10th March 2006
• Registration form inclusive of the picture of the character will also be accepted on the day itself (18th March 2006) by 1pm at the registration booth.
• Registration tag will be provided upon confirmation. This number is to be clearly displayed during the whole duration of the competition. Participants without any tags will not be allowed on stage. Please note that the GACC Committee will not be giving any replacements to lost tags.
• Cosplayers are allowed to cosplay any character from the following genre:
1. anime
2. manga
3. games
4. movies
5. J-rock (with specific titles)
• Original cosplays are not allowed in the competition
• For the first round of the competition, each cosplayer will be required to walk around the stage in a manner befitting their chosen character (you can pose, wave, smile, glare, etc.). This should not take more than 1 minute.
• 10 finalists will then be selected by the judges and the finalists will be called up onto the stage to be tested one-by-one on how well they can stay in character. Only 3 awards will be given for the Best Cosplayer category: first place, runner up and second runner up.
• The judges’ decision is final
GROUP CATEGORY• The number of members in a group may range from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 8.
• Only a maximum of 10 groups are allowed to enter. The right to compete will be given at a first come first served basis. Registrations will be accepted both before and on-site at the event itself (only if the maximum number of groups has not been achieved).
• To register, kindly zip all the completed registration forms of your group members with a picture of each character and send it to

• All cosplayers are required to confirm or reconfirm (for those who register beforehand) their registrations on the day itself by 1pm.
• Cosplayers are required to prepare their own background music (if any) and hand the CD over to the registration booth. Music must be in a common digital audio format e.g *.mp3
• The GACC Committee will not be responsible for any inconvenience caused by faulty recording
• Only cosplayers cosplaying characters from the following genre will be allowed participation in the competition:
1. anime
2. manga
3. games
4. movies
5. J-rock (with specific titles)
• Original cosplays are not allowed in the competition
• Any failure to comply with the stated rules will result in the disqualification of the entire group from the competition.
• Each group will be given a maximum of 8 minutes to perform. Any act after the 8 minute mark will not be judged
• All cosplay groups are advised to be careful while performing their act on stage
• Only one prize will be awarded: Best Cosplay Group
• Again, the judges’ decision is final
