I'd like to suggest that the moderators keep a close eye on the anime forums. Personally I think the Anime Talk board should be used to discuss about certain anime (and to a certain point about manga). For example, if there's a thread about My:Hime, we should be discussing about plot points, characters etc in the show.
I'm concerned that trolls are spamming the board. Posting threads like with posts like "AnImE AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH my daily life. I'm watching ANIMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" for example is not discussing anime but merely spamming the board and trolling for a reaction and most moderators in other boards would delete these kind of posts.

hahhaa....
neway... more topics = more posts
rolling of conversation n exchange of ideas can go on
if u limit the topics, like who's gonna go visit tat thread?
neway, those "AnImE AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH my daily life. I'm watching ANIMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!"
true, tat's a bit ridiculous
n when it's ridiculous, it'll go dead after some time
so then we can just lock it

well... this is just my point of view
mayb others will not agree to it

DD, wat say u?

"Orang yang anda cuba hubungi tidak berada dalam keadaan yang waras, terima kasih"

I do what I can. Just removed a clone topic by the same person in the afternoon... And man he keeps double posting (albeit with different content).
Been merging his posts for the past few days.

If you ask me, I too believe that if it's useless it'll die out eventually. If it really starts to deviate then gonna dump it into the free talk section where rules are practically non-existant. Tongue

If it creates a firestorm, say goodbye to the thread. Zero tolerance for those kind of stuff, unless it sparks a cool headed discussion instead of a catfight. (as if that happens.)

Maybe you'd like an "Ignore User" option put in or something.

Isn't that similar to banning a user (from a site/section)? After all, you can't have a ignore user function...

I dunno if this forum program supports it, but other forums I frequent have an "Ignore User" button whereby all the targeted user's posts will be filtered out from all threads of the viewer.  The posts are still there just that you can't see them any more.

It keeps the noise and stress levels down. Though Mods/Admins are not supposed to use it for their own purposes. Such is the nature of their work.

I can see where Piano is coming from; to have your discussions buried under a pile of irrelevance only serves to discourage you from attempting further discussion.

Sorry, I've just been through the Admin Control Panel and I don't think this service is available on this system...

Just a question though, if you have an ignore function order slapped onto someone, how about the responses directed towards the user that is posted in the thread? Since you can't see the user's post, all you can see is the reactions (flames?) towards the invisible post?

Ban for a week and they'll likely disappear forever...

Although currently I do have the urge to do it.
Pretty much fed up...

Where's the posts-a-day limiter when you need one~!

Hi Moderators, can't you reconfigure the board so that it doesn't accept posts that consist of only smileys or are too short (e.g.) less than 15 characters? The spamming in this board is starting to get annoying. I've also seen at least 2 post consisting of nothing but "....." Disabling postcounts in certain subforums might also help.
I'm starting to understand now why M'sians have a bad reputation worldwide for uncivilised netiquette....:\

ps. I think perhaps it's high time too that board rules are pinned up and adhered to.

As if you haven't noticed, some of us are too.
As for the rules, might consider reworking them first before putting them up.
