I have 5 words for this reporter Faizal Zakaria, YOU ARE STUPID and DUMB.

Because of him, I had a hard time explaining it to my parent.

Baka, baka, baka!

Oh...by the way, Star has started having manga reviews. I noticed that the 1st issue was mostly into shoujo-friendly titles.

Maybe the reviewer's profile may have something to do with it.

Gee... I was kinda shocked when I read about this all over the anime forum club. I mean, it's stupid, for saying that anime is somekind of animation porn. It's makin' me angry, and I'm sure lots of anime fan are angry too. Bet that the reporters didn't really do the research...
The thing is, how can Kosmo! publish an article like that? This isn't right. and from what I noe, Kosmo! is targetting their readers among teenagers... and lots of anime fans are teenagers!

At least something positive came out of it, in that there is mainstream media recognition (by the Star) of anime/manga. (I found pretty annoying that all these years, the Star carried American comics reviews about the same old boring outer-underwear sporting superheroes, but seldom mentioned manga/anime). At least now the imbalance has been redressed somewhat.
As far as I am concerned the Faizal Zakaria fellow can crawl back into his hole and drown in all the muck he's been raking. This issue is pretty much dead already. let's just bury it.

I feel that we as AnimeMalaysia members, have the responsiblity of undoing whatever the darn KOSMO! article has caused. There are people out there who don't know anything about these anime stuff. They are getting confused. We must snap them out from their confusion by saying the right word.

P/S: Actually the one who should be responsible to do this is the darn Mr. KOSMO! reporter himself!

Yes well said. We AM  members are all understand what's is anime than them. Well kosmo is a gossip paper. Hell yeah, they only think the negative sides. Hell yes, we in are islam country. So anything like this happen they blame the things not the people. For me, it so called "protection the face of them and find something to blame on" just like that simple for me.

ANIME IS NOT HENTAI!

Kyoto Animation – If there’s anime deity, then KyoAni’s its prophet. Absolutely the darling of the anime world now, for good reasons like Fumoffu, The 2nd raid, AIR TV,The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and Kanon 2006. With KyoAni, it’s not anime, it’s art[/i].

Its been a very big issue indeed! Well, Jeff Ooi's article is certainly very interesting, with him pointing out that he watches animation like 'Spirited Away' and so does this mean he is watching porn?

i pointed out to kenichi previously (when we were discussing this topic), that in this case, Hayao Miyazaki is a porn director lol and same goes to all those who produce anime @@ ... even FMA is hentai!? i was like, come on, use your brain once-in-a-while or perhaps they are trying to spark  controversy on purpose to bring up the sales of their paper? THEY ARE SO WRONG...
