The use of spoiler warnings

In most forums, it is common courtesy to use spoiler warnings when revealing major things like character deaths, shocking plot twists, endings, etc.
One way to do so would be like so:
Spoiler warning
*
*
*
Blah blah blah died.
*
*
*
End of spoilers
If the entire thread is going to be discussing spoilers, then it would be mentioned in the thread title. For example, the thread title could read:
"Ending of blah blah blah (spoilers)"
I feel this is important as some folks may not be aware about common courtesies like this. One member went so far as to claim that since the show had been out for several months, it was okay to randomly throw spoilers at unsuspecting forum users.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is NOT OKAY. It is considered rude and shows a lack of courtesy unless you are looking to making foes. Just because a show has been out for a while, doesn't mean that everyone has seen it and part of the impact of the particular show might be lost if we know what is going to happen next. Please show some courtesy.

Of course, there should be a Statute of Limitations on enforcing spoiler warnings...
If a book has been out for 2000+ years and people couldn't be bothered reading it...

I don't really know how do you change human character.
Even if we did introduced spoiler tags (which I doubt, cause I'm the only 1 (..?) listening here. And I can't do anything) how sure are you that the others would use it?
We did start on using tiny fonts for spoilers some time back. Guess the culture died out like most malaysian government campaigns... hangat hangat tahi ayam..:?
