hmmh, the movie was actually ok only.they cut off loads of things and parts in the movie.and they dont really concentrate much on the important characters like snape, the contestants, karakoff, hagrid, mcgonagall and barty crouch.and they changed quite a lot of things in the movies.and fleur wasnt as pretty as described in the book and viktor krum is like some muscular big dude (cho changs kinda chubby but kinda cute).but the effects in the movies are quite good.i diddint really enjoy the movie much.for non readers,it might be good, but for readers it might not be that good.

I like HP too, but I am there to see Hermione. heh

Draco looks like a tiny Chow Yun Fatt in the first 2 movie. A slick and handsome villain, the type you see often in Mafia movie. But in the third movie, he grown up to be a skinny, sickly looking fellow like your back alley thug.
Draco lost his charm..... now he look like an regular hunchmen instead a mini boss.

haha right. i am one of them ^^;; i'll TRY to make it short lol

review? i watched it last saturday and i am going again with my friends (for the sake of going out) after this...

in my opinion, the humour is great, i love George and Fred and everything else they did. Yes, victor krum really disappoints me. i expected him to be better (well at least more good looking... there should be some handsome Bulgarian out there). Fleur Delacour was well, okay in a way. I didn't know what was the fuss about cho chang (making it such a big news every where in mag and papers) when her scenes are so little. everyone seems to forgot to cut their hair in this movie...

i expected more, seriously. i was looking forward to seeing Charlie and Bill (Ron's two elder brothers) and they didn't show the World Quidditch Cup. PLUS, if anyone ever notice this: the GRAND HALL didn't look as grand as before. it was shabby and small (in my opinion) and all the students look as though they were cramped in together to fit it when the grand hall is supposed to be BIG and really GRAND...

Spoilers:

In the last round of the Triwizard Tournament, in the maze--there's nothing but roots that curl and attacks them and the strong wind with the walls closing in on them. In the book, there were creatures and weird stuffs... and they have to overcome a number of obstacles and answer questions (if i remember correctly) in order to pass through certain path in the maze.

And there were no trace of Dobby and other House Elves because there should be dozens and hundreds of them...and Hermione with her SPEW badges for the rights of the house elves etc those weren't there.

Rita Skeeter plays quite a role in this one actually. she wrote some stuffs about Hermione dumping Harry for Victor Krum (which was in the movie) but they didn't show that Hermione received many howlers and Ron's mom showed a dislike towards her etc becoz of that

Back to Rita Skeeter, she made some remarks in her Daily Prophet saying that Madame Maxime (the head from Beaubaxtons--another friend commented she looks like Willy Wonka ^^; i think bcoz of her hairstyle) is a giant which offended her. and how rita skeeter knew was because she eavesdrop between Maxime and Hagrid's conversation. and Rita Skeeter knew a lot of things that others don't. the mystery however, is that how did she find out these stuffs and well, eventually Hermione found out that she was an unregistered animagus. stuffs like these were not highlighted.

Barty Crouch were not given much attention. how he died, nobody knows and the part where his body was found is juz so... simple and short. as if they are implying 'he's dead, that's it.' There was supposed to be a big fuss over his death because he is one of the minister of magic.

Mad eye moody took Harry's Marauder's Map. it was not indicated in the movie because he killed his father--Barty Crouch using the map.

Cornelius Fudge did not make much appearance and there was supposed to be more ministers around. they leave a number of things unmentioned and unsolved.

Harry's Triwizard winnings were all given to Fred and George because he didn't want them. he felt he don't deserve them and all... also not shown.

So that's why with the missing pieces, those who don't read the book--like my friend was puzzled. she couldn't understand what happened and was like giving me that 'what's with the story?' look lol...

of course, i can explain to her but it will be a whole long story hahaha.

i rest my case.

what i can say..they better stop for a few years before realeasing another movie..
its better that way.
maybe they afraid the actors and actresess getting
mature and they wont look like school kids anymore.
The duel was not that hard at all.
the part in the lake..i tot there would be more action alas..*sigh*
also the last duel...i tot there was going to be more action but it was only running crazily through the bushess.
i book a late night show. I brought along 2 livita bottle
to keep me awake. I notice this time the movie not that long. it was only 2 1/2 hour

The title GOF never matched the whole point of the show. The 3 tasks are too.. too.. little on screen not to mention the other 2 selected students scenes. The tournement suppose to be great event with more challenging tasks but it dissapoint. GOF has better humour than the previous three but I don't enjoy it much because there're annoying kids around me. The best part of Harry Potter is when the 3 gathered together I just like the scent of they being together and the worst is the Voldermort, such a boring villian. Hope to see him die once and for all in OOP.

At the beginning the producers considering to make 2 parts of this movie GOF-P1, GOF-P2 but gave up already due to some unknown reasons. This explained why they skipped out many facts, but still GOF have 153mins of running time which is quite tiring audience out.

reen>> seriously, the maze really disappoined me too. originally there's supposed to be much worse creatures...

alec>> serious? i would appreciate if better if they split it coz there's too much in the movie that they didn't bring out. like you and reen mentioned, there wasn't much focus on the other contestants... so more development and better understanding of the movie can be achieved. however, no point saying it coz they have failed that... unfortunately....

the goblet of fire was not a bad name actually. it revolves on the GOBLET that contain Harry's name--whereby a contract was bonded for him to complete the task... although some title on the Triwizard will be appropriate too ^____^

as for the viewing time... 153 mins tiring for you? i don't think so. many people whom i known and watched the movie felt either it's short or juz nice... i myself felt it was short, not satisfactory @@ ...

voldemort a boring villian? well, you will soon discover WHY he keeps coming back again and again if you read the Half Blood Prince (which i will proudly say, i finished it--though wtih much depression). And understand also other mysteries that surround the story and like it or not, the background of Tom Riddle Jr which is Voldemort himself. A story from the time before he was born till the time he turned evil... then perhaps you will find him more interesting i guess...

Actually I watched Zathura before Harry Potter 4 ^.^ still... evening time slot is quite sleepy at times. @@
After searching a while I found this keyword from the producer's mouth:
........I think we spent a little less time in the game play of the Quidditch World Cup. The decision we made, which was born out of Alfonso's approach, as we got more confident is that anything that doesn't really relate to the Harry story, and in this case, the Harry and Moody story in particular. SPEW was Hermione's issue. It's as simple as that. When you're condensing a book that is this long to a single film, what we felt was there wasn't enough for two separate films. Where do you break it? Yes, you can probably do it, if you did each scene, but in terms of dramatic structure, but it didn't lend itself to two films, so we decided on one, so obviously, cuts had to be made. I would have loved to have kept SPEW. I love it. It's a part of the book that made me laugh and feeds right into Jo's themes. Ultimately, it didn't really relate to Harry's journey, so too with the Quidditch World Cup. We've seen Quidditch. What are going to do in the Quidditch World Cup that we haven't really done before? And we don't really know any of the Irish or the Bulgarian players. They're not part of our world, so we aren't emotionally invested in supporting the Irish or the Bulgarians. So it was a decision that we made. We'll see the players and we'll introduce Krum, but we won't have much gameplay.......

interesting piece of article ^________^

but still, its juz too bad they had to cut them >_< ... unrelated or not, it would seriously be nice to see hundreds of house elves in the hogwarts kitchen (i had been trying to imagine this)! when the three of them 'discover' the kitchen, it was interesting to have the house elves bow and serve them as 'masters' and how loyal these house elves were. though not important in this epi, house elves do play an important role in  later movies ^^

the movie concentrated too much on the tournament.in the book the house elves were like so important.and another shitty part is the way barty crouch died.they walked in the forest and like 'wow',barty crouch is dead.and where the hell are the blast ended skrewts!wanted to see wat it looks like.
