Somewhere in the vast sea of the Internet, there's a website that can only be accessed at the stroke of midnight. Known as the Jigoku Tsushin, rumor has it that if you post a grudge there, the Jigoku Shoujo will appear and drag whoever torments you into the inferno. Very little is known about the girl - all we know for sure is that she lives with her equally enigmatic grandmother, that three magical straw dolls accompany and serve her, and that whenever a posting on the Jigoku Tsushin moves her, she becomes the Jigoku Shoujo.

Watched the first episode, and I must say this is not a pretty anime. (but what is? You'll most likely find nice looking characters in h-game based animes. ) Creepy seems to be the more appropriate word. :lol:

The Hell girl looks creepy enough. Kinda remind me of the killer doll Chucky from her big expressionless eyes. :shock:
The other characters from hell (the woman and 2 guys that are with the girl) look kinda nice though...

A little afterthoughts though, are they gonna keep doing the "first half torment the victim, second half torment the  suspect" style? It may get old really quick if so...

And I kinda wanted to see more suffering in hell, or at least how hell looks like. They only showed the path to hell in the first episode. :roll:

Which leads me to another random thought.
If you believe in hell, chances are you believe in heaven and how you end up in either worlds. If the person does bad to you, they'd be sent to hell after death so why send them to hell and condemn yourself to hell too? Or you could just enjoy the moment as you KILL them with your own bare hands since your both gonna go to hell either way?...:twisted:

I've watched up to ep 14 and will probably finish the series in 2 weeks' time. The interesting news is that they have officially announced that there will be a 2nd season in Fall. Seems like almost every major anime this two years is getting a sequel.

Just finished this. The whole father-daughter thing was very touching and really moved me. I am wondering though how the 2nd season is going to be though.

kyaaaaaaaa i finished this anime yesterday! while i was browsing for some stuffs to Download at IRC, i saw this anime in the list and it attracted my attention. so i tot it's worth a try and before i knew it, i'd already downloaded about 18 episodes. but the sub group is a little slow in the release... so around last week when i went to Petaling Street, i saw the DVD and bought the 2nd half of the story: from epi 14 - 26 ...

neway, yes, i can't deny that ai-chan was kinda eerie but damn pretty at the same time--just like some forbidden fruit. you'd want to know more about her and yet you'll be afraid of what will happen afterwards. i'd been waiting patiently throughout the whole series to wait for the last part--in knowing how she died and what's her past is about. It is indeed very sad... and made me felt sorry for her. well not spoiling the story, so find out more on your own--for those who haven't watched it ^____^ the first few epi is interesting but soon it gets a little bored when the same thing kept happening and she'll be repeating the same few lines throughout the anime (the first half, at least)... imagine saying the same lines for almost 400 years... :shock:
