i just downloaded an emulator for ps2 called pcsx2!
i'm kinna confused on how to use it!
it has a very complicated process!

I believe it's not worth the hassle.
You may be able to get a game or two to run, but you won't get a lot of frames per second.

the main problem on this program is the BIOS part.... i dun actually understand how to do this.."PCSX2 does however require a real PS2 BIOS to run. However, you must obtain this from your own PS2, as the BIOS binary is ©SONY and cannot be distributed with PCSX2 as this would be highly illegal. This is perhaps the only technical thing you will have to do to get PCSX2 running games, but there are guides and tools out there to help you do this".
this program currently supports over 500 ps2 games!

oh the bios... well basically an emulator need the actual bios from the console to run. im used to use ps emus but NEVER ps2 emus. the bios is usually a .bin file.in ps emus it usually a spch001.bin. try looking up in sites that offers image files (.bin, .iso or .nrg files)of console games. if not try searching it in torrents.

It's illegal to ask for BIOS but... http://ps2bios.cjb.netPCSX2 can't really play a PS2 game yet, you have to mount an image file (such as .iso, .bin) You can find these files easily on the Internet, Bittorrent for example. The emulator is still in testing stage so don't expect the gameplay to go smoothly. The compatibility with most of the games is really low so you need to find a patch here and there. |

But you can use Alcohol 120% to convert the ps2 CD to image file right?
Wouldn't that work?... Then you don't need to dl the game.

You still need BIOS file regardless you're playing CD or image or nothing. BIOS files are very small, often less than 1meg. So you shouldn't wait long while getting it via torrent on 56K. The image file is often known as CD image or ISO image. Basically it's a single file containing the whole contents of a CD/DVD, so it's really massive. Read Wikipedia. |

well....u minimum need a pc with at least an ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card with 1gig ram!
u need an extremely good pc!
