well I personally felt relieved that it revert back to when it was like during the first FMP... kinda good to see Arbalest back in action... and Tessa commanding that submarine...

It's stunts like that which kill immersion in the show. Maybe that's why I'm not particularly enamoured with FMP.  I'm willing to believe the impossible but not the improbable. Funny that.

lol. The first episode was ok. Somewhat a showcase of what's it about. The ending was fun. (I do have low standards)
Mecha/Action fans should be pleased. :wink:

Sub in a river... Well, when you do that you've forsaken the reason you built a sub. Even if the river was deep enough the waterflow would've been distorted sufficiently to give away your position. (hey, your not small right?) And not to mention the difficulties in navigating rivers and the riverbeds...

But at least Sousuke ran out of ammo. There's been countless series out there where the main hero/heroine NEVER runs out of ammo.  
And there's still the notion where the bad guys can never hit the good guy even when they're using machine guns (I reckon I can do better than that. Just forget about the shot he had to block using the lambda driver. :twisted:)

In fact, like you, I was tricked into watching FMP 2nd when I should have exercised better judgement.
