Let me get the standard reply out of the way:

"Oh noes! How dare they take away our free anime! Curse the copyright holders for not allowing us to steal their hard-earned work!"

Okay. Done. Next.

Like what the author says in the end
"There are actually some jap companies that appreciate fansubbing"
Enough said.

Well, pulling the titles off when it is licensed at least shows the fansubbers respect the companies so unless they recieve due notice from the companies involved I see no wrong.
(hahaha blame my piracy-supporting upbringing   )

If some company has nicely asked you stop fansubbing, just follow. You don't want the whole fandom to go down.

There are loads of Anime out there, and people grow old.

Mind if I say something, controversy I presume? If not, why the hell is this.. whatever is it have a huge misunderstanding?

So far as I know that it is stealing copyright or something or this is the job for the copycats who want to be famous?
