uwa uwa uwa uwa uwa uwa uwa
i was somehow disaapointed. i have some high expectations over it since they make it so 'big' but then again... i enjoyed it but don't feel that its somehow up to a certain standard. watching it reminds me a little of Matrix ...
and its puzzling.
why did the aliens act strange? how did they die? there's so many of them and it juz ends like that huh?
btw it was kinda short too. i expected it to be around 2 and 1/2 hrs but mana tau it's only 2 hrs

In novel by HG Wells, the aliens died of bacteria or virus that they did not count on.

Strangely, from all those years planning, they did not even bother to take an air sample to measure biological factors.
Haven't watched this version yet but was the HMS Thunderchild in this film?

Another great work from Steven Speilberg. This movie is great. However not everything is properly explained.(eg. where the alien capsule coming from? the lighting is just the medium). This movie can be a little scary because of the sound of the machine and the size of it. Any horror movie can't beat it. Yup the ending is too simple, hope Speilberg will change it but he stick with originals. The alien is killed by probably the smallest organism on earth that probably exist before human exist. It's better than Independence Day. I give 8 of 10.

Ah well, no Thunderchild here either. Jeff Wayne's version still wins as the bestest WotW.

HMS Thunderchild is a British destroyer that confront 1 of the tri-pod,i think it's only mention in the book but not in both movies.the only difference in both movies are the ferry, the ori dont hav that.

Tom Cruise plays a crippled cowboy vampire Vietnam vet maverick crane race car operator pilot lawyer bartender whose wife is in some secret sex cult who must save his retarded brother played by Dustin Hoffman and his family from evil Nazi space aliens who framed him for the future crime of killing Tim Robbins and must lead a band of ragtag samurai on a mission impossible to beat Paul Newman in a game of pool.
It's two hours of watching Tom Cruise be an asshole. Some aliens attack but that's less important than Tom Cruise being an asshole.
