ermm unfortunately i'm an odd case, i was born talkative, so never had a problem of not knowing wat to talk, i just talk.... i even talk to myself sometimes too!
anyway, as an advise, if u don't know wat to say, it's best not to say anything
sometimes if u force yourself, u end up saying the wrong things n this might create a bad impression on u
so stay as the brooding silent guy... oooh this is a huge turn on for some girls

C'mon Jason, don't be so down... Social interaction is something to be learnt and it's a 'skill' you'll gain as you move along the way.

Depending on "who" the other party is, you ask different questions with different attitude.

If it's someone you're interested in, strike up more conversations like asking her how's her day etc. Then ask her how was school, any particular subject she likes/ dislikes, what's her family like, has she any pets, hobbies, books, movies etc etc. There's an endless list you can come up with but the spontaneous act is more important.

For example, you asked her what subject she enjoys most in school and assuming she told you... that she likes Maths. Then you don't end the conversation with an "Oh, me too." Continue talking about it, mention how funny/ stern your Maths teacher is, and how you did/ did not get into trouble with the teacher, about Maths tuition (how boring/ entertaining it was), homework and then relate it to other matters. One topic can bloom into a long one - depending on HOW you bring the subject matter about.

But if you're trying to make friends with someone, the direction would go slightly different and your attitude a little less enthusiastic as per showing deep interest in the other person you're trying to pursue.

Ah again, all these are not definite and it's hard to put into words... you'll understand them better when you encounter more of these. "Don't be shy" is the keyword. But ppl with different personalities shows them differently and others could react in an unexpected manner as well.

In any case, you'll never know unless you try!

lol xell, if he met with the girl he likes - he shouldn't stay too quiet (unless the girl does all the talking) but usually girls ard his age waits for the guy to 'take the lead' XD XD XD

haha yuii, when i was his age, i was the one who did most of the talking when hanging out wif my guy frens! hahaha
but waaah yuii really give good technical advise for creating conversations! i highly agree with what she wrote! when we were in scotland, blurry used the standard ques my mom always ask strangers: name, age, hometown, parents background, siblings, working or not, if yes, where working... and it goes on and on... hahaha

lol those were just from experience and observation. There are times when you and the other person fell into (weird) silence after a topic, so to ease the 'tense' atmosphere - have to find something to talk about. Whether it's commenting on this person's nice scarf or even cute dress, you'd be desperate to break the silence with anything (at all) to talk about.

So since some of those experiences, I find that I usually initiate conversations when fell into silence - even among my friends. But there are times when I was thinking abt something and just let it goes by until my friend says something lol it gets tiring also when we have to do all the talking the whole time (for me, that is). Sometimes I prefer to listen than talk.

Hahahahaha i totally forgot abt RC when i got home y'day!

COTD>> I missed MJ's memorial coz it was broadcasted at 1am Tuesday morning... apparently it ends at 4am. I actually forgot about it until MixFM talked abt it this morning. I heard MJ's daughter - Paris gave small speech and it really broke my heart. I feel so sad. There's a repeat showcast on StarWorld 6.30pm. I'm gonna rush home to catch it tonight >__<

Yes, I also cried at Brooke Shield's speech. It was heart wrenching and heart breaking... I didn't know that she and MJ were childhood friends. MJ's brother also cried during his speech... and I think the most touching one would be of her daughter - Paris's - few words.

COTD>> It's so damn jam tonight esp Subang!!! I know that roundabout's traffic never cease, it's the worst tonight >___< aaaaargh I really dun like coming home late on Friday night!
