COTD -~> Went to a hair saloon in a shopping mall nearby for a trim (been 4 months since I had a cut and convo\'s just around the corner). Took the offer for a Junior\'s Cut there for RM12. Was planning to go to those modern/higher class barber shops you find in shopping malls but they charge RM13. So in I go, attended by a girl who starts snipping at my hair. After like...30-45 minutes, she\'s done. but then, when she messes around with my hair to ensure she got it right, she starts seeing flaws here and there and begins snipping again. After another 20 minutes or so, she asks me to move to another seat to have my hair washed out and dried. After drying, she starts seeing flaws again and this time, asks her sensei to come over for tips. So I become the learning tool for another 30 minutes+ as the sensei snips away while giving pointers about handling ultra thick/dense hair like mine.
So in the end... Spent about 1.5 hours for a what was supposed to be a simple haircut (normally, my hair gets cut within 20 minutes at the chinese barber shop near by KL home). But somehow, I just laughed it off in the end. Guess it was because
the girl was cute I factored in the chance of things going wrong in the first place. I was going to get my hair cut by an apprentice, not a pro anyway.
At least I asked only for a trim, so now left with enough hair to comb. Wonder what would happen if I asked for a short cut.
