yup overall the movie was below par. resident evil was much nicer. too much talking and not enough action. i only enjoyed the fps part.
however i like the part when the rock said he is not supposed to die.

Overall not very satisfying, it's games-to-movie we're prepared to be expected.
I only played Doom 1 half way before I end up vomit in the toilet and entertain my fever on the next day, since then I never touched any FPS games.
But today I watched Doom The Movie starring Rocky and Urban.
Doom is like Alien+Zombie, with crap plot and dull background.
In fact I'm more curious about the portal connection between Earth & Mars.
As for TheRock we already expected he dies in the end as we already knew from his interview spoiler long time ago.
But this is not matter because in his latest interview if there's sequel he'll 'return'.
Mind you that FPS scenes only few minutes at near end of the movie.
For FPS lovers you'll probably dissapointed because it's just few minutes. ^^;

yippie....i watched it......but......sob...sob...nvr enjoyed it!
i wuz a fan of the doom series since it was the first game i played after i bought my pc 8 years ago! i played all the doom game from the first 1st game till doom3:roe!
my biggest dissapointment wuz.., they changed the story line! they should have stick with the original storyline where the demon comes from hell rather than genetically engineered!
the only good thing about this movie is...the weapons specifically BFG (not much role anyway, i think sarge only used it twice!), the environment was cool since u can see some reminisence of the doom3 environments, the demons make up was good........and to top it, ms Rosamund pike looked HOT!!!
the fps part was brilliant....nvr seen b4 in a movie!
overall....5.5 (i kinna liked it but nvr enjoyed it!!!)

15million in 3days are not bad for a movie that every1 hate it....i will still watch the movie cos i dont expect it to have any plot...jus like the game Quake,.....hey mayb they name the movie wrong should hav name it Quake cos it doent have any plot at all (joking joking) XP ....well i leave my opinion open till i c it myself,i need something to enjoy myself silly  |

FPS games rarely have a solid story right?
People into these games generally wanna shoot everything in sight instead of listening to people babble in the cutscenes. :twisted:

well...u may get that sometimes if ur moving too fast and u lock ur eyes towards the screen the whole time! my advice is switch ur view on and of the screen. its a good way to stop the dizzyness!

i get dizzy in 30 mins when playing doom2 ....man,so dizzy that i call sick leave  but the new fps game like doom3 or counterstrike are ok cos of the graphic. |

the box office dont look good ...around 18 millions this few days ,guess the movie is doom now,they plan to hav doom2 in the future which i think will not hav a chance so close yet so far |
