Synopsis:-
follows the exploits of the four Pevensie siblings -- Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter -- in World War II England who enter the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing a game of
‘hide-and-seek’ in the rural country home of an elderly professor. Once
there, the children discover a charming, peaceful land inhabited by talking
beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs and giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis. Under the guidance of a noble and mystical ruler, the lion Aslan, the children fight to overcome the White Witch’s powerful hold over Narnia in a spectacular, climactic battle to free Narnia from Jadis’ icy spell forever
.

I didn't read the novel but i did watched the animation version.

when i watched it maybe in the early 90's...
i was crying watching how the witch masacre the Lion....they(as in the creatures which oppose the lion Aslan) tied the lion, then cut its hair, drag it to the altar and the queen kill it.           ...if i'm not mistaken the lion gives itself to the queen because he wants to save the children...maybe laa..dah lama lah ...i cant remember..but i always remember those stories which brings me tears.

Love the books.  Read the whole Narnia series back when I was 9.  Good plot and drama.  Hope the movie more exciting than Harry Potter.
