I belief, the topic that I have posted is "Stop Japan from joining the United Nation Security Council", and if they aren't in the United Nations they will not be in Iraq's peace keeping force in the first place.
For your information on the United Nation Security Council please look up what it is on Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Security_Council#Members.
China is not trying to dominte Asia like America is trying to dominate the world, infact China is trying to Enlarging the Security Council
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A26237-2005Apr4.htmlby giving more seats for the countries in Asia. China is also trying to make India into the United Nations Security Council.
.....im just stating what Ive read on different sources of news from different New Paper Websites of the world.
sounds like a bunch of crap to me.
If this topic had been the first one you posted, I would probably accused you of being a troll.
In case you didn't study your history properly, China-Japan relations go back several hundred years at least and sure, there are bad patches, just like the english and the french had. WW2 was a terrible thing to happen and I don't think anyone here denies the atrocities that the Japanese commited in the 15 or so years they were in China, but to put things in perspective, the brits and frenchies went to war several times and on one occasion at least, for just over a century, and yet today (except for the occasional sensational tabloid headline) relations are pretty much civil between both countries, and I don't recall reading of any incident where the brits prostrated on the ground and said sorry for stomping on french ground.
I think you need to read something else other than New Papers. (what ever those are). Try reading more newspapers and history books for a change, and not just those which are limited china-japan relations going back to the last 50 years, but also world history in general.
I'm guessing you probably support the One China policy too (which I think is unsound), but I won't go into that area yet unless you want to debate that too.
In general, all I want to say is that scratching at old wounds only cause them to fester and become gangrenous. People regardless of nationality, religion or culture ought to attempt understand each other in the spirit of peace and friendship. Remember that "an eye for an eye" will eventually make the whole world go blind.
I don't think Japan is really ready for a UNSC seat, but only because they listen too much to the US these days. However, bringing up the "blood on their hands" crap is getting old really fast.
Some of the older generation of japanese may still have issues coming to grips with their past, but I don't think we should demonize everyone for that. Some of the younger generation I've met seem fairly aware of what actually happened. Just as I took my Form 3 sejarah textbook with a bit of salt, I'm sure many younger Japanese do too, especially with the advent of the internet.
In the end what matters is that I judge a person based on how he treats me, not on what his ancestor did to my ancestor. To put it another way, what some japanese guy's grandfather did to my grandfather is a matter both granddaddies can take to the grave for all I care. The sins of a past generation ought not be placed on the shoulder of the next. The inability to forgive is the mark of a small man.
