I watched it a long time ago. Yeah.. what I can say is this anime opens up my mind about same gender love..

Chikane would be my "dream girl" type of girl.

well as a female I regard this anime as a good one (not coz i'm currently in love in Chikane, mind you!).

Although the mecha are an eyesore (for me!) the interaction between the characters are very emotional and cool  Cool

heh.. I cried at the last scene. It's very moving and beautiful
It's a good thing that they are together at last if not I kill the creators!!

Looks like everyone agrees that the mechs don't fit in. Tongue

Well... most people enjoy happy endings... Rarely is there an anime that doesn't end happily.  Cheesy

A sequel... Is there anything else they can add? :?

Although you ppl said the Mecha dont fit in, it is the Mechas + Orochimumblejumblethingy + Yuri Mikos that make Kannazuki No Miko an anime as it is. If only the Yuri relation remains, this anime will really feels like Maria Sama Ga Miteru (HimekoxChikane = YumixSachiko).

This is like saying the weird adventures in Yami To Boshi To Hon No Tabibito dont fit in because it's better for Hazuki to search for Eve in normal-like Yuri situations.

The unique-ness of a particular anime are what drawns ppl to it.

10/5/2006. The miracle will happen once again in the winter.[/i]

Kyoto Animation – If there’s anime deity, then KyoAni’s its prophet. Absolutely the darling of the anime world now, for good reasons like Fumoffu, The 2nd raid, AIR TV,The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and Kanon 2006. With KyoAni, it’s not anime, it’s art[/i].

Well... I mean why bother adding mechs in?

Fighting hand-to-hand/close combat/magic would have been more appropriate given their short run (although I feel either way would still not work since the series is too short to give adequete development to the characters... Which didn't endear me to the series. You can't just have characters popping out just to be punching bags for the leads...)

Or at least give them more time with the mechs...
(When I say longer battles, I am surely not referring to the Naruto/Dragonball/whatever anime that has a single duel lasting over 1 episode. That's too long!)
They end them so quick I can't even finish my bowl of instant noodles in that time...

-~> Disclaimer : My views does not reflect the views of others. Tongue

And the Yami to Boushi to hon no tobibito story was... well, just as you said, wierd. Jumping from world to world in was a refreshing angle and watchable, but still, wierd.
-~> I did watch the whole series but I don't recall much of it except for in-the-book-world-hopping... And I watched it in chinese...

Just wanted to say that if you folks liked Kannaduki no Miko and can't get enough of Himeko and Chikane, you folks might want to check out Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora.
