Yeah... the Haruko - Sora scene was a little out of place... The intention was clear, just the presentation was a little out of the tone the story set.
In terms of impact, I enjoyed Misuzu's final scene the most. I had to wipe my eyes after the scene ended. Oh wait, ep 11's ending almost did the same thing to me... and almost all the other farewell scenes... (argh... my mind is making me feel for the characters in every situation... I'm becoming a sucker for all sad scenes )
With the open ended ending, I WANT A SEQUEL! AND I DEMAND MORE EPISODES OF THE SAME HIGH QUALITY!
Must... collect... the... movie... too... Please drop a line here when it's available on fansub networks ok?
-~> Hahaha I like to charge up that move, then wait for a level 3 before sending Yukito to "hold" the enemy with the juice before I roast them with a level 3 "Gao Gao Fire" (took this name from gamefaqs). The final move... now that I know it's roots... It makes it even more special. But not using it often now due to the same reason.

But come to think of it, the last episode really have several settings/feelings in it. I mean like there's happy part, sad part, flashback part, corny part, the story of the memories of the star part, epilogue part and of course, the finishing part. Seriously, the way how they end AIR TV when the AIR logo showed on the screen, it really feels like i just finished watching a long, satisfactory movie and it really made me like exiting the cinema walking in satisfaction (except that i'm not in a cinema ). I have to say that Misuzu & Haruko voice acting was superb. Just listening to their voices (without watching the anime) in some scenes at ep. 11 & 12 is enough to make my heart breaks and feels like crying. Insanely convincing, and i thought Fruits Basket was emotionally voiced enough (sorry Honda Tohru, you just lose to these 2 girls although you really come to a close second). I can't really stressed enough on how AIR TV is very beautiful graphically. The waves on ep. 11 & 12 are very mesmerising, and really enchanced the scenes happening there. The last time when i'm impressed by the animation of ocean waves was back when Final Fantasy 8 was released. Now waiting for the movie AND the Summer Special. U heard me right. There will be Summer Special episode featuring the funny stuffs from Summer Arc of AIR (Kanna, Ryuuya & Uraha story). Tentatively released on 20 August 2005 (OMG 5 MORE MONTHS OF WAITING :x ). Not sure of how many episode but to be on the safe side, better assume it gonna be like 1 ep. Kanon Special. Maa ikka, even 1 more episode of AIR is a bless by itself. If there gonna be more than 1 episode , i'll be insanely delighted. p/s: DD, why dont just use Yukito juice, jump back & do the Final Move instead of Gao Gao fire lvl 3? That will be more satisfying. Hehe. And after watching AIR TV, now i completely understand the meanings of all Misuzu's special moves (the feather charge, the ground pop-up move, dinosaur moves and of course, the damn-hard-to-set-up "3-STEPS"). And DD, do you want a DC rip Aozora song which got the characters voices in it? Yes, it's just like the one in ep. 12 scene but with a complete Aozora song and maybe more dialogues than the anime. I restrained myself from posting the link earlier because i dont want to spoil the ppl here but sadly the link is now broken. I can send it to your email if u want, or upload it to any site that can support one mp3.

Kyoto Animation – If there’s anime deity, then KyoAni’s its prophet. Absolutely the darling of the anime world now, for good reasons like Fumoffu, The 2nd raid, AIR TV,The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and Kanon 2006. With KyoAni, it’s not anime, it’s art[/i].

I'm also getting the game too, All Age version although i'm tempted to get the 18+ ones . 90% already. About the game that DD & I are talking about, it's a doujin (fan-made) fighting game that got characters from One, Kanon & AIR in it. Have interesting movelists that mostly are usually taken from other fighting games (if you play a lot of fighting games then you definitely know where most of the moves come from). And surprisingly balanced too for a doujin fighting game. The name is Eternal Fighter Zero. It also got 2 update via the name EFZ: Blue SKy Edition (add AIR chararacters) & EFZ: Blood Moon Edition (more characters added). This game worth getting for together with Melty Blood (with consists of characters from Tsukihime).

I support what Elfenrir said in his last long post. The scene where the Air logo was displayed... Looks like the opening of a sequel if there IS any planned. Yaay~ More stuff to come! But have to wait...................... Don't think I haven't tried doing your mentioned combo finsher... It's just that I always grab nothing but AIR (pun intended. ) everytime I do it. I can't seem catch them when they are being attacked... (well, it could just be me and my lower game playing skill level...) What is the feather charge for anyway? Oh, and the Aozora song... If Yahoo is already upgraded to 1 gb then please send it over. Wonder when would that be? :? EG -~> Burn me a copy if you have the Air visual novel game (Is that what it's called?).

*Attempt of not wanting AIR TV thread to die* Watched ep. 13 of AIR TV. 100% recap episode coming from a 12-episodes anime. w00t!!!! Ironically, this is the best recap episode coming from any anime that i watched. From 200 episodes worth of dialogues from AIR game -----> 12 episodes anime -----> 1 episode recap summarizing all the previous 12 eps. Sheer brilliance~~~ I'll definitely throw this ep. for any of my fren that refused to watch the whole series so that they will be "ZOMGWTFBBQ!!1!1" by watching the summary. Anyway ep. 13 wasnt all that bad even for those who dont feel like watching a recap episode. Firstly it got FULL song while the credits are scrolling accompanied by the various clips throughout the anime. Secondly, it has the preview for the "AIR In Summer" episodes. Did i wrote "episodes" just now? NEWS FLASH!!! AIR In Summer will consists of TWO episodes, not 1 like i was speculating before. Banzai!!! Thus this confirm the early rumors about AIR TV is having a total of 15 episodes. p/s: After been looking at AIR girl characters pictures for so many times now it dawns to me that the hottest chick in AIR is IMO................ Yukito's MomSigh, she didn't have much airtime in the anime

I rarely watch recaps so I can't judge the quality... Nor did I play the game... EP 13... After watching the whole series I feel it wasn't worth the download... I'd rather seek out the trailer than download the episode... I think those who didn't watch the series won't feel "connected" to the events in the recap... Can't really tell... Must force someone to watch it and get their afterthoughts. And I think you can just get the soundtrack off the net... I wanna play the game... But there's no english version released... There's an aeriel shoot-em-up version though... (I'm quite a junkie for this type of games... The problem now is how to get my hands on them...) Heh... I'm sad to say I can't recall Yukito's mom... Must have been the lack of screentime. All the girls look good to me. Not gonna rank them... But those in the wallpaper form done by fan artists(...?) would look even better... Now if I could only find those........

Hello! I'm new here. I don't think there's gonna be any sequel. The game's ending was the same anyway and Key didn't come up with any sequels after that. My 2 cents: Pretty good anime despite being only 12 eps, but the pacing really hurts the story a lot unless ur very immersed in it. 12 episodes is just too short for the great story Air holds!!

Halo~
Yeah.. it's too short... we've been complaining about it. But on the other hand, lengthening the series might make the story a little diluted (Sorry, as I said before I've never played the game)...

Some added information:
1) According to rumors, ep. 13 recap is there because of financial reason to balanced out a bit off the uber animation quality of the episodes of AIR TV. What i mean is that instead of just airing 12 eps, they add 1 more episode to balance off the production cost. Recap ep = almost zero cost.
2) While talking about the short eps, AIR TV is aired on paid satellite TV in Japan and even aired on midnight slot IIRC. So, That means AIR TV does really have it's target audiences. The people that already played the game. So, considering the high OVA/Movie-like quality of the TV series, short episodes are economically fit for it to be aired on satellite TV. It's made the current AIR fans happy with the anime transition & make the new AIR fans to buy the anime DVD and maybe buy the game too.
3) AIR TV DVD 1 already released at Japan for a "measly" 5,800 yen for 2 episodes. This is actually where the production company earn back most of their profit from making the anime. The 2nd bulk of the profits comes from merchandising of course. Thus the reason why Visual Novel games/anime have a hard luck being licenced & translated in English. The Japan production house dont give a damn about non-local customers & they're asking abnormal licensing fee for their top titles.
I want more pics of Yukito's Mom.........

I'm watching till ep 8...watching this due to the high recommendation from other anime otakus. This is a very pretty anime...very very pretty. But .....it's just another not-my-cup-of-tea sort of anime. Why? It's slow and trying too hard to be touching. I only feel that it's trying too hard to be touching and meaningful....I guess this is the type of anime that needs a lot of thoughts. But I really like the graphics and everything....and really great opening song. I even karaoke through the opening...LOL ^_^ I know AIR fans out there will blast me for this post but I'm the type of person who don't like KGNE sort of anime.
Buuut...I'm still at epi 8 and it's at another era...which seems pretty interesting. And I really like Yukito...

I represent the AIR fans here (because i guess i'm AIR most fanboy-ish person in this board) want to say that we are glad that you actually watched until 8 episodes & said this anime is very very pretty . For your con of the anime, it understandable. This anime target audiences are ppl who played the game (or have good knowledge of the game) thus leave quite a substancial (sp?) amount of plotholes & questions for those who's new to the world of AIR. My advice, please finish AIR till ep. 12, cost the last few episodes are the true storyline of AIR, ep. 1-6 are just side stories & alternate endings for the game. Then, go to forums that have good & deep discussions about AIR (animesuki AIR TV forum is a good start), take your time to read and understand as much AIR as possible, filling the holes that made you puzzled while watching the anime for your first time, and then re-watch back the episodes, preferably alone, in good mood & settings. I assure you that your AIR TV experiences will be way better & satisfying afterwards. Take your times with AIR TV. If it's hard to follow my full advice, just finish watching the anime is already enough (since you already at ep. . Pls spread the word around to the ppl you know to give AIR TV a try (although if they gonna like it or not is another story, but the point is just to let them atleast watch the anime although just a few eps). Although in a glance people always compare this anime to KGNE (and KGNE dont have many fans in the 1st place, because of its uncommon genre), but they're different type of anime altogether. KGNE is a soap opera/tragic love drama. AIR TV is a modern fairytale for the mature minded. For KGNE, you just need to watch through the episodes and understand most of the story, no need to play the game beforehand, no need to do background researching, no need to rewatch the eps. But AIR is the opposite, in order to make & enjoy the most of this anime. As my parting words, "May the AIR be with you". <----lol, so cheesy.p/s: Sigh, i do got news that AIR in Summer is just gonna be a 1 episode OVA instead of 2 and it will be release around 20/21 August in some festival where people need to pay (like a mini movie sort-like style) to watch on the release day. *Sob* Around 3 months to wait & it just 1 episode & it gonna take some time for fansubber to pick it up because they have to wait until the OVA DVD release just like AIR Movie .
