Latest work by Makoto Shinkai who gave the world, Hoshi no Koe, considered by many as one of most touching love story in anime. My conclusion about this movie is a beautiful work of Schrondinger's Cat dilemma love story in anime form. The chicken or egg type of problem.
But the impact somewhat lessened by length. Perhaps Shinkai's storytelling style more suited to short works.

Cat theory indeed. Though the length kind of killed it for me. A whole lotta nothing happening. It's action-free anime. I think there's a bit of a cop-out at the end too. But I can't discuss it without spoiling it.

While I am not the biggest fan of this show, I find it sad that people would rather talk about crap anime than an honest work of art as this show.

Wot's 'tis, man? Conspiracy to watch anime? Man, there were a lot of trains in Beyond the Clouds (A Promise Made, etc). I guess it's the most normal thing in the world for the Japanese. Here, the concept of reliable public transportation is like, bizzarro man! ((( O_O )))
