Well this is another mecha anime, i only watched bout 3 ep of it, but i think it could be promising i think...

the mecha so far is beautiful, a bit bulky though... and the main character's relationship with her mother reminds me of Shinji-Gendo, the difference is this time she wanted to pilot a mech... animation is so far fine and beautiful... and the music really rocks...

ne one watched this anime too? it is too early for me to give a verdict yet but the signs are, to me, promising

This story is about Jinki follows the story of the main character Aoba, a lonely teenage girl who excels at building plastic model robots. One day, she is kidnapped by her own mother to the jungles of South America, where an organization called "Angel" is preparing a robot named Combat Robot Moribito Number 2 ("the Guardian") to do battle against ancient "jin-ki" ("human machines").

To fully comprehend Jinki, you have to read the manga. It is on sale at Kinokuniya KLCC, released by ADV USA. The manga is supposed to complement the anime, as they actually telling 2 timeline stories, back and forth; which supposed to form synergy in the end, following Hegelian philosophy

Yes, you have to .read the manga.

Hegi-what philosophy? I dont like the sound of it... so you are saying Aoba side of the story is 3 yrs in the past, and the Japan-part is in present right??

from what I seen so far (and not far yet), a group of people trying to be God... again Cheesy but for the first time in a long time I have seen a willing operator... until she was confronted of the truth that the mecha are tools of destruction (or so I guess)...

Yeah, you have to read the manga in order to really grasp what is going on in the anime. The author wants it to be that way.

Hegel is the German philosopher who created the idea of thesis, antithesis and synthesis. His books, like Kant, is the most difficult to read amongst philosophers since it is very dry.
