My opinion
Kaoru - I like her very much, yours is very cute also but the hand and legs look odd. Not balance coz one is bigger while the other one smaller.
Gin - I never read this manga but the character's looks kinda cool. The only place needs improve is the shape of his face, make it smoother or rounder.
Naruto - Nice drawing there. Still, the hands and the right leg needs improvement. I have to compliment you on this one though.. Keep it up !!

and we got an artist here. but i second omega. most artist do have probs regarding hand and leg position. i'd love to send in my sketches, but i dun have a scanner...so maybe next time....

yeah... i always have problem with the hands/ legs etc... sigh they are so difficult to draw.

hehe thanks a lot everyone! i'll try to improve!!! reen>> it all depends on mood lol. if i force myself to draw when i'm not in the mood, you'll cry seeing my sketch :lol: btw here's more. kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin... he looks girly here though haha   and this is Momiji-kun from Fruits Basket!!! i like him a lot >_< he's so kawaii!!!  and then... Hmm.. honestly speaking.. I think they will be thousand times better if you used your own style..
I mean.. what's the point of drawing if you just following others' styles?

oh yea, you offended me alrite. hahahaha just kidding!  well seriously i lack creativity and never thought of drawing something on my own. its going to be tough and i know i lack enthusiasm in drawing something else. thing is, i really like those characters i drew and thought that how far can i go by sketching them. will the art look similar to the real picture? these are the things on my mind everythime i sketch something. the end result is very important to me as to evaluate myself. everyone have their own reason to draw and mine is just to test my skills lol apart from having the satisfaction of completing a difficult task |

I never plan to make it as a steady job. I love to draw as hobby...i draw when i feel like it :wink: this was about 7 years ago when i really have passion for drawing anime!!  look how skinny the saiolors were hahahahaha :lol: and now  not saying i'm trying to show off or anything. Just do want u want to do and if ur going to do it...just give ur BEST!!!! :oops: **hugsss yuiii** |

well u r urself, so ur style fits u the best. mine were heavily influenced by akira toriyama-sensei at first. but as i read and experimented more and more, i finally had my own style. and as a tips for drawing the body, hands and legs, study human photographs. u can start by tracing the body position at first, analyze it a little, and try redrawing without tracing. compare ur drawing with the real one (i know its not realistic as the real one but u can tell if the pose matches). secondly, for the hands, use ur own and a mirror. pose ur hand as u wish, analyze and draw. u can borrow other ppl hands as well( just dun cut them off). when u understand the anatomy, u can just draw by imagining or using a clay model.
that was how i learned to draw. i favour drawing technically (using basic shapes - boxes, cylinder,sphere) coz it easier to imagine.

oh loki-kun, you don't necessarily have a scanner. use a camera also can... i dun have scanner, so i took picture of them and the upload to my pc... you can do the same. even camera phones can capture, just that it won't be that clear... Ooooh nicer than mine ka? then must see!!! |
