Giorno -~> Hate to say this but this IS an open forum. Everything has it's good and bad, but it's all in the eyes of the beholder. Just because you like something doesn't mean it is flawless. Other people have the right to their own opinions. If you don't like what you see, just ignore. No one is forcing you to swallow it.

What people want to believe is all up to themselves. Going through what people say is the strong or weak points of a title helps others get an impression of what to expect. Pretty handy if you wanna go out and actually buy these stuff without actually watching any previews.

And stormy, you have made your point clear. Dont repeat your post. If you wanna post please ensure it has other points.

Narutard has no progression in real sense. They seem to content to make more episodes without actually showing anything substainal.

And it did not justify the length of the show. It is just basically a guy wants to be a great ninja. What else is there? Any sublime touches? Any poignant moments that is worth the envy of the gods? Anytime the anime actually shows audience what does it mean to be anything real than just a strongest person? What about sublime touches that makes us human? Does this anime do that? Or just immediate grafitication of senses?

What kinda of definition of story impasses that is stopping this anime from moving? It panders nothing but stupifying and naive machoismo plus the simplistic just world belief. It did not really examine the deeper questions of existence and humanity. Instead we getting Ultraman-like or Pokemon story where he keep meeting enemy one by one and beat them up. What else?

All other animes that I mentioned has subtlety, Narutard has none. That makes all the difference in the world.

And I do enjoy popular animes like Last Exile for example.  It has its weaknesses, but it has own sublime subtlety. The one that bothers your mind and suddenly you will go the inspirational moment, the "ah-ha" moment.

It is annoying when crass commercialism and stupid masses overrule the full potential what anime can be, a serious medium and great moving art which can touche our inner soul; teasing it to be greater that we thought it to be. And its even more annoying when people so caught up with it and did nothing more than that but lap it up like idiotic cows.

Narutard is dragging on as long as it could, and it offers nothing but black hole as long the money keeps coming in. Once it is sucked dry, it will crumble on itself and those of you who follow it loyally will be left high and dry. No resolution, no satisfaction.

All those money could have gone into making better anime(s). Instead it is wasted on filth like Narutard.

It has it's appeal to certain viewers. That said, it doesnt appeal to everyone. Some of us believe the hype, but I say it's best to judge at the end of a series. No point judging before it's over.

ps -~> I've only watched approx. 20 episodes. So I'm rather neutral about it.

as a former Narutard, i got to say that this show does pull you in emotionally... but the long flashbacks, and also the rising of other animes has pulled down Naruto from its place of my top 10...

in fact this wasnt in my priority download list anymore... let just say i found other series that is much better in terms of rewatchability, depth of story, character etc.  in terms of manga however, since i dont read much, and due to its easy-to-find factor, and the regularity of its raw and scanlations (speed scans and official scans) i say that it worth my while reading it...

as an example i remember when we got a FMA vs Naruto thread back in the old forum... if it were to happen now, then i say FMA wins with no contest from Naruto side

PS: but this show DOES have its moment of glory, and memorable fights... i lean more towards action anime anyway

how'd u know we won't be satisfied?
u might not have gained anything from watching naruto, but others might have
different people gain different things from the same anime
like yaoi for example, some like the eechi scenes, but others might like the story
u might not be satisfied with this anime, but i know a lot of other ppl who are
furthermore, i know alot of people who have opened their eyes to the anime world tru naruto
if they didn't watch naruto, they wouldn't have known that other animes existed
naruto might be over commercialised, but there is a good side to that

dude, the 2nd one is just coming out... it's not even in japan yet...
the 1st however is coming in DVD this april... no one in m'sia has seen it yet... so dude, don't worry.. ur not the only one..
