Hee hee. I wasn't referring to you specifically, just making a blanket statement.

I know that GSG has other merits beside the rori factor but it keeps RUBBING THE FACT IN YOUR FACE that it's a pedo's wet dream.

Hard to ignore the obvious, you know. Sometimes.


Then again there's that saying...

PS: But I watch it too, mainly for the gunplay.

I nearly ignore the series when it 1st came out 2 years ago. Only when by chance I read the 1st chapter of the manga online, I realise that this is kinda Tolstoy style crushing depressing pathos which I absolutely love.

Without the girls, the pathos part wil not work as effectively.

As I stressed in my review of Gunslinger Girl in Minitokyo, this story is about humanity and relationship, not fanservice pandering of little girls. I dunno why people keep associating this anime to pedo.

It's the imagery they project. And the inevitable association with other anime with similar imagery. This is all unintentional, of course.

Speaking of depressing anime, there's stuff I like but no one else seems to 'get' so I understand where you're coming from. Though not completely agree

I like this anime serise also.
I like the gun-flighting and the relation-ship in this anime.
Hope session 2 will out soon.

Well, their life expectancy is low and their conditioning worsen their health.

Finally sat down and finished the series.
Lots of flashbacks, using the "act first, explain later" formula. Nothing much wrong in that IMO.
I think it's not really sad... But if your like me who keeps thinking about their past, how they feel etc at every given situation and feel for them, my heart hurts everytime I see the scenes. (Ie scenes where they are not treated like humans etc)

Overall was ok, with some nice gunplay in between. But the ending (episode 13)... Is the series left hanging with sequels planned?

And 1 more thing, I don't really like Henrietta's face. I wonder why. :roll:  :lol:

The problem is GSG anime is covering the Section 2 only which is vol 1 and 2. In manga, vol 1 and 2 is all about the girls, vol 3 is about the terrorist, especially the bomber couple and vol 4 is about the confrontation and reminisciences.

In other words, the anime is not complete in totality.
